First of all, welcome to my independent blog.

You can call me Ah-De, ChienTe, or by my English name, Louis. I'm a bit of a restless soul. Maybe because of my personality, I entered the workforce very early. Combined with the influence of my family's business, I went to Ghana in West Africa at the age of 17 to help my uncle with his trading business. After that, I bounced around several different countries for many years, and didn't return to Taiwan until I was 30. Back in my day, around 2002 to 2008, communication and staying in touch were nowhere near as convenient as they are now. The longer I was away from Taiwan, the more friends I lost touch with. It wasn't until the rise of social media platforms around 2010–2011 that I slowly reconnected with many of them, which made me marvel at the progress of technology!! (Saying it like this makes me feel like I'm aging myself 😂) As I started using social media, I gradually began to feel like the photos and content we uploaded didn't really belong to us. On top of that, with so many new platforms popping up, it felt impossible to keep up with them all!? Posting a single article meant sharing it across three different platforms, each with its own set of rules!? Having to worry about likes, reach, and so many other factors slowly drove me away from using social media! It also sparked the idea of building my own independent website. But working under Taiwanese bosses, I really didn't have any spare time or energy to learn new things, like programming! So, those plans were gradually buried. It wasn't until the recent rise of AI automation that I picked up my old interests again, wanting to research and build some interesting things.

Here, I'll be sharing some of my thoughts, technical concepts (thanks to LLMs for the programming part, otherwise I wouldn't know how to write code at all), and software utilities or services I've built to fit my own workflow (after all, technology was invented for lazy people). April 1985 - Born in Xindian, New Taipei City, Taiwan 1991-1998 - Lived a carefree life in Xindian. School during the day, cram school after school. On Saturdays and Sundays, to escape my mom's "devil education," I would take refuge at my grandparents' house 😁 1998-2002 - Moved to Yangmei, Taoyuan, drifting aimlessly through life—skipping school during the day and getting into fights for no reason 2003-2006 - My family handed me a plane ticket and sent me to West Africa to do shoe trading with my youngest uncle 2006-2008 - Returned to Taiwan to sort out my military service. While waiting to be drafted, I worked in plumbing and electrical, as well as car detailing, eventually fulfilling my military service obligation at a Navy radar station in Penghu 2009 - I was told they needed help in West Africa again, so they sent me back. But due to some unfair treatment, I only stayed for a year before returning. 2010-2012 - Went to China to work in QC with my father, handling factory shipments and quality control 2012-2015 - Then I was told my second uncle's factory in South Africa was short-staffed and needed my help, so I spent another three years there 2015-2017 - Two years of quiet reflection... 2017-2024 - Entered the civil engineering industry in Taiwan, dealing with asphalt, bitumen, and government officials every day 2025 - Left that and spent another year doing plumbing and electrical work 2026 - Just got back from South Africa. Currently staying at home with time on my hands, thinking about what I can do with software, or helping out a friend in low-voltage systems with pulling cables and installing security cameras, all while stumbling along to find my direction for the future...
