I decisively sacrificed Windows!!

Since I started learning about AI this year, the biggest change for me has been switching my operating system from Windows to Linux. I’ve used Windows for a long time, from Win95 all the way to Win11. To be honest, I probably just treated it like a gaming console, so I never really paid attention to its productivity side. It wasn't until I started learning AI and researching local AI models that I needed to install various specialized environments and plugins on my PC. That’s when I realized how restrictive Windows is in terms of software freedom, and I’ve felt that Win11 has only been getting worse. I still find myself missing the days of XP or Win7.

For the sake of productivity, I spent about ten days weighing the decision, but in the end, I decided it was time to make the switch!

Some people say Linux is great and very stable, but the downside is all the commands and code.

"Can you handle it?" they asked. I replied: "With LLMs, I'm not worried."

Between freedom and constraints, I chose freedom. But that’s only possible with the help of LLMs; otherwise, I’d probably still be using Windows as a gaming console! Haha.

I recently heard that a Windows AI update meant to fix bugs ended up crashing Win11 on Dell computers. Even if that rumor might be a bit exaggerated, I’m just glad I switched to Linux!
