The phone's own ASR is pretty decent as it is.

I’ve finished the MVP for my expense tracking app—or at least, it’s 90% there.

I’d been toying with the idea of integrating ASR, but it turns out the phone’s built-in speech recognition is already spot on. It’s the ultimate lazy way to track spending: voice input, AI categorisation, then hit save. Even so, I still prefer the manual interface; I can log an entry in three seconds flat. Just pick a tag, punch in the number, and save. Even if I add a note, it only takes another ten seconds, which is still quicker than faffing about with AI.

The remaining 10% is just stuff I reckon needs a bit of polish. Since I’m using it every day, there’s a fair few features I’m keen to bolt on, like automatic currency conversion and photo storage.
